However, attention is drawn to the fact that during the development of this European Standard, the UK committeevoted against itsapproval. The UK committee voted against the standard for technical reasons. The committee is of the opinion that a way of quantitatively assessing the coatings (e.g. using EIS or ENM) has not been dealt with by ENIS011997-1:2017and a moreuptodatestandard could havebeen produced if electrochemical techniques were incorporated. The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee STI/10, Test methods for paints.
